UKBA warned yesterday that queues for border control at UK airports, ports and international train stations will be longer than usual, though it said the agency would try and keep delays to a minimum.
It said that visa applications in the UK would also be affected, asking customers with appointments tomorrow to reschedule.
Passengers arriving in the UK on 30 June are advised to have travel documents, including passports, available and taken out of any wallets and use automatic e-Passport gates (where available).
Overseas visa service is not affected by the strike.
In-country services, including enforcement and public enquiry offices, will be aiming to provide a business-as-usual service,
“This strike action is fundamentally about the agency efforts to modernise its working practices to deliver a more efficient and effective service,” said Lin Homer, chief executive of the UKBA
